AAI manages 125 airports, which include 11 International Airport, 08 Customs Airports, 81 Domestic Airports and 27 Civil Enclaves at Defense airfields.
AAI had floated an RFP for selection of partners for establishment of Airport Operations Control Center at 10 airports under build, operate own and transfer model. AAI was looking at a comprehensive solution containing Compute, Network and Data Management with a strong security tier in place.

The IT infrastructure from leading OEMs had been proposed at different Airports to build state of the art platform providing resilient solution catering to the critical AOCC applications.
Both Data Center, Primary DC located at Chennai and DR at Kolkata were equipped with redundant links from multiple ISP’s and hardware deployed in HA to provide high uptime.
The proposed MPLS connectivity provided flat topology to all the Data Centres of AOCC and each of these sites were connected to one common MPLS backbone. This offered very high level of scalability and flexibility in terms of applications & network.
The security strategy to protect the Airport Authority environment revolved around the following key elements:

Network Security Framework: It is a framework for securing network as attack vector. In this framework we proposed NIPS which would get additional context information from integration with endpoint security framework.

The solution proposed covered the major portion of IT infrastructure and laid the framework over which the software modules and applications ran accomplishing the requirement and providing a unified platform for effective collaborative decision making and helped in overall operations of the Airports functioning.
We provided key management systems of operations (AODB, RMS , FIDS etc). Integrating data from different airport systems for applying business rules to achieve the quality objectives is possible. Highly scalable WAN platform helps ensure AAI can meet requirements today and in future.
