DTT has its focal office located at Vyapar Bhawan, IP Estate, New Delhi. It has LAN infrastructure comprising of over 1000 nodes, spread across 13 Floors in the said facility. The active infrastructure that supports the LAN is from different OEMs and leads to interoperability and management issues of the said network. Absence of structured cabling, link or device level redundancy and lack of proper labeling aggravates on – going support and troubleshooting tasks. Usage of non-uniform uplink mechanisms and media converters leads to performance bottlenecks in the existing network. To add to that, most equipment used in the existing network is EOS/EOL.

The solution was designed based on the technical and architecture guidelines from Customer in terms of the number of nodes in the facility, specifications for the network devices and architecture guidelines. Based on the requirements, Inspira proposed the following network architecture.
The proposed network was a two -tier industry standard campus LAN architecture.. It consisted of Core & Access layers.
The network had secure data centre zones. These zones hosted different IT system servers, management servers and other security devices. External WAN and Internet connections terminated at data centre. These provided secure Internet access to the internal users and access to external users. This network became the backbone of entire IT operations of the enterprise.
The solution covered the major portion of IT infrastructure and laid the framework over which the software modules and applications run accomplishing the requirement and providing a unified platform for effective collaborative decision making and help in overall operations.
